As a creative and an AD my heart hurts each time I see a dead ad in a newspaper, on the street or on TV.What I mean by ‘dead’ you ask me? Well, it’s what I call an empty concept, an ad that fails to inspire, invoke or do anything to find out more about it. It’s an ad without a future. Think, whiter than life smile on a toothpaste ad; a macho man with big tools and no idea how to use them; a logo bigger than the ad itself; a blond teenager acting like an angel; a slow motion on a healthy running dog; a billboard that has more words than the Bible...This is my war on dead ads occupying precious space – space that should inspire, make you dream and want to visit that too-often- crappy website…I’m going to try to bring back the dead, insert some life into the boring and the destructive. Let’s make art!
